Dr. Kassem completed his Internal Medicine training at Case Western Reserve University Hospital in Ohio. He completed a one-year clinical research fellowship in hypertension / cardiovascular biology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and in June 1997, completed his Clinical Nephrology training at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed his Internal Medicine board certification in 1996 and his Nephrology board certification in 1997. Dr. Kassem is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and Renal Physicians Association.
Dr. Obeid completed his Internal Medicine residency at The University of Kansas. He completed his Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Southern California. Dr. Obeid specializes in the evaluation and treatment of early to advanced kidney diseases.
Nicole has been working as a Nurse Practitioner with Southside Kidney Clinics since July 2009. She is originally from Jamaica and has been a citizen of the United States for over 15 years. Nicole acquired her BSN degree in May 2005 and her MSN degree in August 2008, both from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Lawrence joined Southside Kidney Clinics as a Nurse Practitioner in the Spring of 2013. Lawrence obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008 and a Master of Science in Nursing in 2012. He completed both degrees, with honors, from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Nursing in Little Rock, Arkansas. Lawrence is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
